Meet Our Teachers
Maryellen is an established Pilates instructor since 2005. She is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Group Pilates and Strength Training Instructor. Maryellen's experience has brought her to instruct using the Joseph A. Pilates Method while incorporating Barre, Stott and Windsor styles for added flair and for those looking for added intensity. Workouts are geared for all ages, genders and fitness levels to maximize comfort and health.
JENNIFER CLARK SULLIVAN
Jennifer became a student of dance at a very young age. A dance major at Nassau Community College, Jennifer is experienced in teaching all types of dance and age levels. She received her Zumba certification in September, 2011 and has been running a very effective Zumba class ever since. Incorporating Zumba principals along with her dance training in body mechanics and movement she has developed a very effective style that has her students pushing past their limitations and achieving personal goals.
Alyssa DeLalla is a Registered Yoga Teacher and certified health coach, helping women to feel healthy and happy through lifestyle choices and nutrition based on real, whole foods. A lifelong student with an unquenchable thirst for inspiration and personal growth, Alyssa consistently invests her resources in courses and trainings she feels drawn to, giving her fresh new insights and inspiration to reflect back out to her students and clients. A passionate home cook since an early age, Alyssa loves spending time in the kitchen cooking nourishing meals for family and friends and developing recipes for her clients. What gives Alyssa the most pleasure from teaching yoga is getting to know her students on a deeper level and also encouraging them to take their practice off the mat, such as using breathing techniques for stress relief and taking time to turn inward and explore their dreams. Her yoga classes are flow sequenced and are geared for the beginner and intermediate student.
Bryanne began studying Pilates in 1998. She is a Stott Pilates instructor and holds a Primary Group Exercise certification through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Bryanne instructs students in Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates and Barre. Bryanne spent her childhood studying ballet and jazz and developed her Barre class curriculum after discovering The Bar Method studio in Roslyn. She incorporated her dance background with her Pilates and anatomy knowledge to develop a fast-paced and intense class that will leave you sore but addicted!
Nicole began her training at the age of 3. Studying Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz and Lyrical at various dance studios she deepened her study at Broadway Dance Center and majored in Dance at Nassau Community College. She worked for USDAN Center for the Performing Arts from 2003 to 2006 and had the opportunity to dance with Savion Glover! She has been an instructor and choreographer since 2002, winning national competitions as both dancer and teacher. Nicole is a certified Zumba and Zumbatomic instructor.
Roe found her salvation in Zumba! and took off from there. She has used music and dance as a personal motivator for weight loss, body toning and maintenance. Certified in Zumba in 2012, she has been teaching at the Physical Fitness Center ever since. Look for more classes with Roe as she completes courses in kickboxing and weight training.
